What is WPC waterproof flooring?
With WPC waterproof flooring, you can have the highest moisture protection. This, combined with the beauty of wood or stone, means you can have it all.
The WPC core
WPC flooring has a rigid core made of recycled wood products and plastic polymer composites. This is called WPC or wood plastic composite.
It's a technologically advanced core that won't peel or ripple ever. So, it doesn't matter how much water or long it's been there.
You'll likely also hear a reference to SPC (stone plastic composite). These floors are also referred to as waterproof vinyl flooring. WPC and SPC offer the same level of moisture protection. The only difference is the feeling underfoot.
WPC flooring is resilient, warm, and comfortable. SPC is solid and rigid, like hardwood or stone.
Because these floors are engineered luxury vinyl, they have all the same style and characteristics as LVF. As a result, they're easy to care for and have an uncomplicated installation.
About luxury vinyl
These, too, are waterproof floors. Luxury vinyl offers true-to-life images of wood, stone, and ceramic tile. They are taken with 3D photography, so they're clear and vivid.
There is micro beveling and embossing to add depth and dimension. In addition, textured looks are available, such as brushed, hand-scraped, distressed, and embossed-in-register.
The material is cut into planks to mimic hardwood. Alternatively, it is also cut into square, groutable, tile-sized pieces.
Although this is SPC, it warrants mentioning: SPC rigid core is a vinyl plank with an SPC core. It has a look and feel of genuine hardwood.
